Next stage!

What's next? After all 10 performers were picked, camera crew is going to follow them. haha! Oh it sounded funny! What I meant was that they want to show viewers of Stage4you something more about their contestants. That's why they'll be rolling some material on music background and background in general xD (Where we are from, what do we do, what do we like, interviews with friends etc.). I'll take some backstage photos for you. Im sure it'll be fun (:
Meanwhile Stage4you posted some announcements on musician battles of some sort. Out of our 10 there will be 5 matches between contestants. I have no idea what they're thinking of. Actually we're not really being told anything until the last minute. SO. I guess I'll be "fighting" with MichaƂ Wendeker who gave a really great performance at the live show.

Here he is! (:

Stage4you continues?

Guess what! I made it to another round! Semifinals it's called in english I think! haha!
Ok, So out of over 100 bands who applied, 22 of them (including some solo artists) were filmed while live performing. 10 of those 22 managed to get through to "another round". If you feel like watching how it all looked I'm posting all three episodes that were broadcasted online. My performance landed in the second one.
Oh yeah, it's only in polish but you can watch to see other participants (:

Stage4you

I was walking those poor looking corridors of my school and a poster caught my attention. "Stage4you" was written at the top. It appeared my University was organizing a music show. The main price is giving a concert at Juwenalia ( it is a students festival organized in major cities in Poland) in Warsaw 2013. I thought "nice" but didn't seriously think of applying. A week later I got a notification on Facebook which said "Today at 23.59 we close registrations to the Stage4you program". So I'm checking the time - it's 22.30 . And of course I was supposed to study at the time but procrastinating is what I do best so I decided to apply just for fun. I sent my application 10minutes before the deadline. I even managed to forget about that the very next day. And while I was on my way back home - BANG! I got a call from the casting manager. "You got in to the next casting! Are you free on Thursday next week?".
haha! It was so funny! Anyway, I went for the second casting that was to be a live performance in front of cameras and jury. There were SO many awesome bands there. And i went just as a solo artist so it was just me and my guitar. And I was the last one to perform at that day. Many people already left when it was my turn. But there was one band who stayed. Awesome boys from Bydgoszcz regions. from what I remember. You can check them out over here! (: ----> http://www.facebook.com/pages/Neutral-Noise/223667957653092?ref=stream

the first question I was asked by jury was "After hearing all that heavy sounds today (most band played hard rock music) how do you think you'll do?" I have to admit it was a wonderful question. Really. So I just replied "Honestly? After all I heard today I have no idea how'd I get here but I must have some kind of a charm if you wanted me here today on this stage" They laughed. I played two songs. One of them was a rather peaceful composition of mine that I wrote in polish. The other was a cover of the song "The one that got away" by P!nk. The one they chose to show was mine. I have to admit I'm not really satisfied with what happened there but let's say it's all right. I'm sorry it's not possible to get the other song on a video (at least for now) 'cos I feel it went MUCH better. But here is the "Bez Ciebie (Without you)".

And some pictures! :D

Long Time no See!

Well I didn't post for a while now. Sorry.

Usually when winter exams session comes all students seem to procrastinate more than actually study. This years exams were my first ever because I'm on my first year on University. It has been a really long learning process but I passed. YEY ME! Trying to imagine me study ain't as hard as it seems. But yeah.. haha! It's rare! So when I tried to focus on all the knowledge I was supposed to get into my head THAT's what happened. Check out! :D
